Shootin'

We I was going up we always went shooting on Thanksgiving, so we have decided that's a good tradition to carry on. Our other tradition was picking pecans at Uncle Bill's. but we decided it was too cold for Grant so we opted to skip that tradition this year. Justin and Quincy took Hunter and Logan shooting.
What a STUD! Logan had a blast!

Hunter did a great job I am told. His very first shot he hit the soda can and knocked it over! He was so excited.

Quincy is a wonderful Uncle! The boys just love him!

And of course collecting the shells is great fun too!

Logan LOVED shooting the AR-15.

And collecting his shells!

Looks like such a scary gun for a little boy!

Justin said Logan just kept smiling the whole time. I think Quincy had just as much fun!

Logan never let off the trigger. He definitely enjoyed the semi- automatic 22.

Am I Finally Four Mommy?

Logan's actually birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year. He was very confused and distraught when we told him he wasn't yet four at his birthday party. That just doesn't make sense in four year old land! Everyday since his party he has asked me when he will be four. All day Thanksgiving morning he would ask, "Mommy am I four yet?"

my reply, "Yes you are finally four today!"

Logan's responds was an energetic, "Tank you Mommy, Tank you!"

It was as if he thought I was the one keeping him from being four and I had finally decided to give in or something!

He was very excited we had saved our gifts for to open on his actual birthday!

Yeah...........a remote control car, now he can race Hunter!

I love Hunter's face. You'd of thought it was his birthday as well.

Cars, Cars, and MORE Cars!!!

Wow Logan that's a ton of cars!

This was his big surprise and he loved it and all his new cars. Logan can play with hot wheels cars for hours so this is a good investment!

Thanksgiving

What a cute family I have! I am so very thankful to be together as a family this year! I have much to be thankful for..........
The gospel of Jesus Christ,
my testimony,
Each of my sweet children,
Justin, my high school sweetheart,
having a healthy and HAPPY baby boy, Grant!,
good friends,
helpful extended family,
a warm and beautiful home,
a gorgeous backyard.............with grass!,
the atonement of Jesus Christ,
each of my siblings,
my wonderful mother,
my talented dad,
good health,
little boys that pee right outside the car when you are getting gas at minit market,
Kiersten loving to shop as much as I do,
fountain Pepsi
and so much more!!!
The Lord really has blessed me!

Thanksgiving 2009
We ate at Grammie and Grampie Cluff's, then had seconds at Grammie Boswells. All the food was wonderful and we ate way too much as usual!

Me and my four babies!! They each bring me great joy! Not that it's easy but I am trying hard to enjoy what I can, when I can...............thats the advice I got from a very wise friend! I will someday want to go back to the years when my kids were little and still liked me!

Hunter did a dang good job taking our picture!

Logan's Thanksgiving Feast

I was excited to be Logan's "Special Guest" at his Thanksgiving Feast for Preschool! We had a fun time together. He got to write one thing he was thankful for on a feather and add it to the turkey. He told me to write, "Jesus" on his feather. So cute!

Lovable Logan! What a sweet smile this little man has!

Steph and Aiden were there, as well as Tressie and Melanie and Rue and Camryn. It was great to see them all and enjoy an early Thanksgiving feast. It was delicious food!

What I Love About Logan.............

Logan is a great kid! Everyone falls in love with him! I love so much about him, but here are a few of my favorite things about him.......
His gorgeous smile,
his BLUE eyes,
his contagious laugh,
the way he still wants me to rock him like I do Grant,
the way he can play with hot wheels cars by himself for hours,
how loving he is to Grant,
his exaggerated four year old stories,
his sweet prayers,
when I catch him singing in a room by himself,
his love of music,
how he can swing for hours,
how he admires Kiersten and Hunter,
how convincing he can be at times,
his love for suckers and Pepsi,
the way he calls Grant his "Little Friend,"
and so much more.
Thanks for being so wonderful! Happy Birthday Logie Bear!

Games and Crafts

Cute Decorations!

Justin made up this note for the front door.

The first thing the little pirates got was their eye patches. Ya can't be a pirate with one! They were drawn on with face paints. Then the pirates all make their own treasure maps with these sticker map kits.

I couldn't believe how much all the little pirates enjoyed this activity. J.J., Hunter and Cambry making their maps.

The smaller pirates basically just tried to use up all their stickers while the bigger pirates took their time to collaborate the best treasure map they could!

We had a lot of help from Grammies, Captain Hook and parents.

Kiersten was such a cute pirate!

Hunter and one of his favorite cousins Cambry! Them two together are quite a pair!

Captain Logan got LOTS of help from Captain Hook!

Maliya doing a great job making her map!

The Curtis Crew hard at work!

Jacob looking good with his eye patch...............he was the only Curtis kid brave enough to become a REAL PIRATE!

This was the canon ball pop. Each of the kids got to run on the basketball court and pop a "canon ball." We had some scared pirates at first but soon enough most of them got brave enough to tackle the canon balls!

Melanie was a little shy about popping the balloons. This is Logan's little girl friend that lives next door. They ride the bus to preschool and even the bus drivers have mentioned that they act like an old married couple!

Logan was surprisingly shy about it too!

J.J. was sure brave and had no hesitation popping the canon ball.
Rico and Maranda taking turns.

What would a pirate party be without walking the plank? The kids loved this game! Justin and I threw "canon balls" (a.k.a. Styrofoam balls painted black) at all the brave pirates who dared walk the plank. This is Hunter being oh so brave!

Captain Logan being very cautious as he begins the scary walk.

Doyle having a turn. Doyle decided against getting an eye patch but made a great pirate just the same!

Maliya got a little help from her mom. Maliya was a brave little pirate girl!

J.J. was so fast we had to try hard to tag him with the canon balls.

Maranda using great skill and technique to cross the plank.
Ashley got a little assistance from Jason. She is my little buddy and I just love her!

Then it was on to pin the treasure chest on the map! Logan was giggling the whole time! He is full of personality that's for sure!
Kendall Moore having his turn. Hunter has become great friends with Kendall and just loves to play with him whenever he can!

Hunter giving it a try as Captain Hook keeps a close eye on him.

Kiersten.........looks like she is trying as hard as she can to peak out the bottom!
